August 2007
SpeechTEK East is held annually in New York and is one of the biggest speech recognition conferences in the world. This year, Kirsty McCarthy has been invited to speak about the role of 'standards' in delivering speech recognition solutions.
Specifically, Kirsty will talk about the relevence of standards such as the new Australian standard for speech recognition solutions, and the GetHuman standard to real world deployments. Does conformance with these standards always lead to better deployments from the customers perspective? Can businesses afford to (or afford not to) implement all the recommendations outlined in the standards? Are there exceptions to the rule?
In what promises to be a lively discussion, Kirsty will present one view on how to best leverage 'standards' to achieve business outcomes.
The presentation will form part of a panel discussion to be held on Wednesday the 22nd of August at 2pm.
